Biography

2011 Season:  Worked out of the “hot corner” at third base in her first true season with the Lady Demons in 19 games…..notched a .310 batting average with five RBIs….recorded two multi-hit games against Eastern Illinois and Grambling State….collected 16 putouts with a .903 fielding percentage. 

At Pineville HS: Lettered all four years in softball and one year in basketball…Alyssa helped her team to the state playoff appearance every year, district championships titles in her first three years and helped them to an appearance in the 5A state championship during sophomore year, a team that was led by current Lady Demon pitcher Kelee Grimes…..named to All-District team all four years….finished senior season after having an ACL injury two months before the end of the season….participated in Key Club and FCS….selected to the 2010 Academic All-State team…graduated in 2010 with a 3.45 grade point average. 

Personal: Born October 14, 1991 as Alyssa Brooke Ford…..daughter of William and Rhonda Ford…father is a measurement technician and mother is a nurse…has two brothers, Eric Olden (28) and Richard Ford (15)….majoring in physical education with plans to graduate in 2014….made the Fall 2010 Honor Roll….aspires to become a high school softball coach…her goal in life is “to leave an impact on someone's life.
