2013 Season: Outdoor – Named the Southland Conference Outdoor Women’s Outstanding Field Performer for her performances at the SLC Championships…won her first Southland Conference individual championships in the discus with a throw of 161-07...was the SLC runner-up in the shot put, throwing a season-best 47-07.75…placed fifth in the hammer throw at the SLC Championships with a throw of 169-02…registered a personal-best discus mark of 165-03 at the Bob Hayes Louisiana Challenge…threw for a personal-best 174-11 in the hammer throw at the Southeastern Lion Invitational…SLC Field Athlete of the Week (3/20).
Indoor- Registered a personal best mark of 47-10 in the shot put at the MSSU Lion Open, placing first…finished third in the weight throw at the LSU Twilight meet with a personal-best throw of 56-10…finished sixth at the SLC Championships in the shot put and the weight throw with marks of 46-07.25 and 54-04.50, respectively…two-time SLC Field Athlete of the Week (1/23, 2/6).
2012 Season: Outdoor- Competed in the shot up, discus and hammer throw…threw the shot put for a season-best 40-04.25 at the Louisiana Classics, placing 15
th…finished third at the SLC Championships in the hammer throw with a personal-best mark of 173-05…hit a season-best mark of 150-09 in the discus at the Leon Johnson NSU Invitational…placed fourth at the SLC Championships in the discus with a throw of 145-06.
Indoor- Registered a season-best shot put mark of 43-04.25 at the SLC Championships, placing 12
th…finished fifth at the SLC Championships in the weight throw with a toss of 54-02.00.
2011 Season: Outdoor - Competed in the shot put, discus throw, and hammer throw… she made it to the SLC championships in the discus and hammer throws… best throw in the shot put was 44.05.25 at the Louisiana Classics where she finished in seventh place… other marks she had in the shot put were 40.02.75, 41- 05.75, 41-08.00... best mark in the discus was 156-07 which placed fourth at the SLC Championships… her next best throw in the discus was 147-04 in the Demon Invitational… best hammer throw was at the Demon Invitational when she threw a 159-09.
Indoor - Finished 8th with a 40-04.7 mark in the shot put and 4th in the hammer throw (15.61 51-02.75) at McNeese Indoor Invitational…Finished 10th in the hammer throw at the Houston Invitational with a 49-11.00 mark.
2010 Season: Outdoor - Went fifth at the Louisiana Classics track and field meet in the discus throw (138-10)…At the Cowboy Relays, she finished 8th in the shot put with a 39-04.50 mark…in the hammer throw, she went 11th at the LSU Alumni Gold meet with 154-11 best throw.
Indoor - Ranked 13th in the Southland Conference in the weight throw with a personal best of 49-02.50 that she recorded at the LSU Purple Tiger meet... placed 15th at the SLC Indoor Championships with a throw of 44-07.
High School: Lettered four years in basketball and track and three years in softball… Freshman year, won softball freshman rookie of the year, earning first-team All-District and first-team all-parish…sophomore season, earned first-team all-district and all-parish honors in softball, basketball and track and won the discus state championship (LHSAA)… as a junior, garnered Abbeville HS Female Athlete of the Year after earning all-parish and All-District first-team honors in softball, basketball and track… LHSAA runner-up in discus and shot put… in her final year, named AHS Female Athlete of the Year, Meriodnal Athlete of the Year… joined basketball’s 1,000 point club, earning first-team All-District and All-Parish… Won discus state championship for second time and finished as runner-up in shot put… Participated in Circle of Friends and Freshman Orientation Leadership.
Personal: Daughter of Myra Allen and Rev. John Allen…born Sept. 28, 1990…has two sisters, Jenissa and Julaine… majoring in psychology with plans to graduate in the fall of 2013.
