2013 Season: Indoor- Competed in the 600m, 800m, 1 mile, 3000m, distance medley relay and 4x400 relay…finished first in the 1 mile race at the LSU Twilight meet with a personal-best time of 5:09.84…ran a personal-best time of 2:17.18 in the 800m at the MSSU Lion Open, placing second…finished seventh in the 800m (2:19.31) at the SLC Championships and was a member of the eighth place distance medley relay team (13:05.64).
2012 Season: Outdoor- Competed in the 800m, 1500m and 4x800…registered a personal best 800m time of 2:16.10 at the Leon Johnson NSU Invitational…placed seventh in the 1500m at the Louisiana Classics with a personal-record time of 4:41.90…finished 13
th at the SLC Championships in the 1500m with a time of 4:46.95…took first place in the 4x800 at the Cowboy Relays with a time of 9:33.03.
Indoor- Ran her season-best mile time of 5:18.13 at the Jeff Davis Bank McNeese Invite, placing fifth...finished first in the distance medley at the MSSU Lion Invite with a time of 12:56.39.
2011 Season: Outdoor - Competed primarily in the 1500m, but also the 800m… best time in the 1500m was at the LSU Relays on March 26 when she marked a 4:42.69 time to place eighth… finished first at the NSU Leon Johnson Invitational with a 4:44.01 mark…finished second at the Demon Invitational with a mark of 4:51.27…placed second at the Cowboy Relays with a 4:48.66 finish… best time in the 800m was 2:16.00 at the UTA Bobby Lane Invitational.
Indoor - In the 1-mile run, placed fifth at the Texas A&M Challenge with a time of 5:27.57...weeks later, she improved on her overall time with a 5:15.28 and a 12th place finish at the Houston Invitational…completed her best 800m run time of 2:27.54 and placed seventh at McNeese.
2010 Season: Ran her best 800m at the NSU Invitational where she posted a fourth place time of 2:16.54…ran a 2:22.13 time in the 880 yard ran at the Ty Terrell Relays…at the conference outdoor meet, she finished in 10th in the 1500m (4:47.78).
Indoor- Member of the distance medley relay team that placed 10th at the SLC Indoor Championships with a time of 13:07.32.
High School: Lettered all four years in basketball, track and cross-country… Won track district and regional championships before a runner-up finish at state… Made the playoffs in basketball and recorded district, regional and state championships in track as a sophomore… District runner-ups in basketball junior season while winning district and regionals in track… first-team all district in basketball with an All-State honorable mention… Senior year, basketball and cross country district champions… second-team All-District and won the state championship in the one and two mile races… runner-up in the 800m.
Personal: Daughter of Khristy and Dennis Ellis…born on March 25, 1991…has one sister, Kyleigh… majoring in health and exercise sciences and plans to graduate in May of 2013... Her post-graduation plans are to become a physical therapist.
