1988-89 Postseason Guide: Datcher is the only walk-on this season, and is tabbed "one of the better ones we've had" by head coach James Smith ... although she played in only seven games, Datcher's presence is made known in practice with her quickness and speed ... scored her two points against Mississippi College in Prather Coliseum.

Before NSU: Member of the Ranger Junior College team that made the playoffs while she was playing the two-guard spot ...  was selected to the all-conference team

High School: An all-district performer for Woodlawn High School in Shreveport, while starting since she was a sophomore ... an all-district player fer final two prep season and all-city as a senior .. .has intentions of playing softball for the Lady Demons, batting .440 and making the all-district team three years from her centerfield position

Personal: Majoring in business administration ... daughter of Helen and Freeman Datcher.

Head Coach James Smith: " She is one of the better walk-ons we've had. She has goo quickness and speed, and will be able to contribute in ways other than game conditions."
