1990-91: Excelled as Northwestern's "court general" during a career year ... tied for fifth in the SLC with 3.7 apg ... ranked eighth in the conference in total assists ... topped all Lady Demons in the steal department with 58 picks ... tied for sixth on the SLC steal charts with 2.1 spg ... seventh overall among conference "theft" leaders ... career high point game came against Southeastern Louisiana when she drained the nylon for 16 points ... had season high nine assists against Prairie View and Texas-Arlington ... dished out five or more assists seven times ... top three-point specialist on squad, canning 18 of 57 outer-limit attempts ... had seven four -steal games ... hit on 20 of 28 free throw attempts (.714) ... pulled down season best five rebounds at McNeese ... averaged 5.6 ppg, 2.1 rpg, 3.7 apg and 2.1 spg ... hit for double figures in the scoring column four times.

1989-90: Stepped in to assume the starting point guard role midway through the season after splitting time with senior Kim Scott ... handed out 111 assists including a career high 10 against Southwestern Louisiana twice during the season ... ended the season with a team third best 12-42 from three point territory ... proved to be a clutch free throw shooter hitting five or six free throw attempts in the final two minutes of ball games ... two of those "freebies" sealed an 81-78 victory of North Texas ... squad went 12-3 with Penny at the controls .. averaged 2.6 ppg and 3.8 apg.

1988-89: Her smart play provided a pleasant surprise for Coach James Smith ... scored a season high six points versus Southern Miss ... shot a .455 clip from the field ... had her best performance against Mississippi College when she went two or three from the field, grabbed two rebounds and dished off an assist.

High School: Became the third Lady Demon player to come out of Riverdale Academy ... led the Lady Rebels to four of their six consecutive LISA class A championships, a string still unmatched ... named all-district and all-state each of her four years ... earned state tournament MVP honors her last three years and all-state MVP honors her final two seasons ... Riverdale retired her No. 14 jersey following her senior year.
