Biography

1992-93 (from postseason guide): A great defensive player with a smooth perimeter scoring touch and surprising rebounding strength, Hill is one of only two players (along with Garner) to start every game .. although her numbers aren't as big as last year's, when she led in scoring at 16.2 ppg and was first team All-Southland Conference, she's been a key in the Lady Demons' drive to postseason ... her ability to step up in scoring or rebounding as necessary has been a timely asset for the Lady Demons ... she has two double-doubles and is second on the team with five 40-minute games ... she's led the team in rebounding twice, in assists three times, in scoring three times and had 10 or more rebounds four times ...
    She's ranked in the NCAA top 20 in steals all year long and has 108, 18 shy of tying her single-season school and SLC record set last year .. her 108 ranks fourth on the all-time single season Lady Demon list and she needs only five to take over second place and have the school's top two seasons for swipes ... has 234 career steals, three shy of third best all time at NSU ...
    She has single game highs of 18 points twice, most recently against Texas-San Antonio Feb. 20; 14 rebounds vs. Texas Tech on Dec. 5; 6 assists three times, most recently vs. SW Texas in the SLC Tournament semis; 8 steals at San Jose State Dec. 20; and 2 blocked shots vs. Texas-Arlington in the SLC Tournament opener.

All-Conference JUCO transfer from Kilgore that came in and had a tremendous impact on the team ... first team All-Southland Conference selection ... first team All-Louisiana Women's team selection ... selected SLC Player of the Week three times nad Louisiana Women's Basketball Player of the wee by LSWA twice... set school and SLC single-game (13) and single-season (126) steals records ... tied another SLC mark by hitting all 10 of her free throws in a 28-point performance at North Texas (2/29), becoming only the fifth player in conference history to hit 100% on at least 10 attempts from the line ... led the Lady Demons in scoring, averaging 16.2 points per game ...lifetime 76% free throw percentage, fifth best free throw shooter in Lady Demon Basketball history ... 5.4 rpb was third best on team ... led Lady Demons in scoring against SLC competition, averaging 15.9 ppg ... ranked third in the SLC in scoring, seventh in free throw percentage (76%), eighth in field goal percentage (46%) and first in steals with 126 (4.3 pg) ... also averaged 5.6 rebounds in 4.9 steals in SLC games ... her 126 steals ranked her fifth nationally ... Austin (1/25) ... hit on 80% (60-75) of her free throw attempts at home and 71% (50-70) on the road or in neutral site games ...averaged 17.3 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.8 steals per outing in road/neutral site games in compared to 15 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.8 steals per game at home ... scored in double digits 26 times in 29 games ... started 28 of 29 games ... leading scorer on 12 occasions ... finished the season with 10 blocked shots ... the workhorse of the team as she averaged 30.7 minutes per game.

General: Junior College transfer ... will provide immediate help at the shooting guard position ... good speed and quickness ... likes and thrives in the up-tempo game ... very comparable athletically to former Lady Demon Pam Hudson ... if you take your eye off the ball for one instant she'll pick your pocket clean and be gone the length of the court for an easy hoop - she's that quick ... expected to fill the void left by ALL-SLC guard Iris Dixon.

Before NSU (Kilgore JC): All-conference shooting guard ... averaged 19 ppg, 6 rpg and 5 spg last season while helping Kilgore to a 26-5 record and a fourth-place finish in the National Junior College Athletic Association championships ... as  freshman starter, she averaged 12 ppg and 5 rpg as squad went 35-2 and won the NJCAA championship.

High School: Three-year all-district standout ... District MVP as a senior when she averaged 30 points, 10 rebounds and six steals per game ... lettered in track and volleyball as well as basketball.

Personal: Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clemmie Hill... one of three children ... having an older sister, LaKesha, and a younger brother, Kamadge ... majoring in physical education; minoring in English ... would like to one day return to her former high school as a coach .. she enjoys basketball, volleyball, softball and sleeping ... nicknamed Kim, Kimbo and Legs
