2017 Outdoor Season: Competed in the 100 and 200 dash, 4x100 relay, and the javelin throw in nine meets...had four top-five finishes in the 4x100 relays...won the SLC Outdoor Championship with Amir James, Micah Larkins, and Georgia Flaviano (40.16)...finished first in the 4x100 relay with Terrance Johnson, Micah Larkins, and Amir James in the McNeese Cowboy Relays (40.11)...also finished first in the Louisiana Tech Jim Mize Invitational with Terrance Johnson, Micah Larkins, and Amira James (40.80)...finished second in the TCU Invitational with a season best time of 39.92 with teammates Johnson, Larkins, and James...had three top-five finishes in the javelin throw...finished third in the University of Texas Austin Bobby Lane Invitational (171-10)...finished fourth in the TCU Invitational (185-7)...finished fifth in the McNeese Cowboy Relays (183-3 ¼ )...finished fifth in the SLC Outdoor Championships (190-5)...threw a team season best mark of 197-0 at the Texas Relays.
2017 Indoor Season: Participated in the 60 and 200 dash in four meets...finished 21st in the SLC Indoor Championships for the 60 (7.05)…finished 17th in the SLC Indoor Championships in the 200 (22.18).
2016 Outdoor Season: Competed in the javelin throw and was the anchor of the All-American 4x100 meter relay team with Amir James, Micah Larkins and George Flaviano … this group combined for an SLC Outdoor Championship victory (40.29), which qualified them for the NCAAs where they finished 15
th (39.69) in Outdoor Championships … also threw the javelin in eight events, notching six top-six results with one win at the Leon Johnson NSU Invitational (193-3) … qualified for the SLC Outdoor Championships where he finished sixth (186-9).
2016 Indoor Season: Competed in the 60 and 200 in one event … top finish was 14
th (22.99) at the LSU Purple Tiger.
2015 Outdoor Season: Redshirted
2015 Indoor Season: Competed at three meets in the 60 meter and the 200 meter dashes… had career best performances at the SLC Indoor Championships with a time of 6.95 and a time of 22.01 in the 200 meter.
2014 Outdoor Season: Competed in the 100 meter dash, 4x100 meter relay, 4x200 meter relay, and the javelin throw during the outdoor season… recorded fourteen top-ten finishes throughout the outdoor season… finished 1
st place in the 4x100 meter relay at the McNeese State Cowboy Relays with a time of 41.20… also placed 1
st at the McNeese State Cowboy Relays in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:27.55… at the SLC Outdoor Championships he placed 14
th in the 100 meter dash and 9
th in the javelin throw.
2014 Indoor Season: Competed in the 60, 200 dash, and the 4x400 meter relay during the indoor season… placed in the top-twenty three times during the indoor season… had his best performance at the Texas A&M 12 Team Invitational in the 60 meter dash finishing 12
th with a time of 7.10… went to the SLC Championships placing 28
th in the 60 meter dash and 46
th in the 200 meter dash.
High School: Lettered in track and field and football... had a 3.7 GPA in high school... was a part of FCA, SADD, and FTA.
Personal: Son of Tammy Heartz and Robert Shilling… born on October 23, 1994… has two brothers, Ryan Shilling, and Gage Hartz... majoring in psychology and addiction studies...plans to be a game warden for the state of Louisiana…life’s ambition is to be happy and live comfortably.
