SLC Commissioner’s Fall Academic Honor Roll

2011: Emerged as a bonifide weapon for the NSU special teams in his first season as the starter … punted 63 times for a total of 2,410 yards averaging 38.25 …had a long of 61 yards… had three touchbacks, 31 fair catches...placed 17 inside the 20-yard line... four kicks of 50+ yards. 

2010:  Did not see any action.

2009:  Redshirted.

2008:  Saw action in two games averaging 32.5 yards on two punts… had a long of 33 yards while both kicks were fair caught inside the 20 yard line against Grambling.

High School:  Lettered all four years during high school... held the positions of punter and kicker... 10/15 field goals and a punting average of 40.2 yards in junior year... Named Special Team Player of the Week... led his district with a punting average of 45.6 yards his senior year... played under coach David Fisher... was chosen as a senior class officer, signal chief, and homecoming king at South Grand Prairie.

Personal:  Born June 22, 1990… son of Jasper and Rhea Russo… three brothers, Britt, Eric and Christian, and two sisters, Brooke and Camille… majoring in political science and inspires to be an entertainer… nickname is “NSYNC.”
