2011 Season: Set three school records, including breaking the season mark for passing accuracy … completed 61.6 percent of his throws, topping a record 61.1 by Don Guidry in 1966 and Brad Laird in 1996 … his 178 completions in 11 games broke the single-season mark of 166 by future NFL QB Craig Nall in 2001 … his 1,853 passing yardage is the fifth-best season total in Demon history, while his 2,057 yards of total offense ranks sixth on the single-season top 10 … came off the bench to spark the Demons’ comeback from a 17-0 deficit in season opener against Delta State where he completed a school-record 13 straight passes for 210 yards and 1 touchdown… completed his first 13, and the 14th (and final one in that game) was dropped … Henderson completed his first 7 passes the following week at LSU, making him 20-21 at that point, and finished 16-26-1 against perhaps college football’s best defense… three touchdowns against Nicholls completing 68.4 percent of his passes on 31 attempts... had a season-high 290 yards passing performance against Lamar, as he threw three touchdowns and completed 76 percent of his passes… threw for 149 yards and two TDs against SLU... had at least one touchdown in seven of the 11 games he played.
Prior to NSU: Named a NJCAA All-American after he threw for 2,763 yards while completing 232 of 388 passes at East Mississippi Community College in 2010... threw 26 touchdown passes and had just seven throws picked off... completed 59.8 percent of his throws and averaged 276.3 passing yards per game, ranking second nationally in yards per game... also rushed for 320 yards on 105 carries with three scores... ranked third nationally with an average of 308.3 total offensive yards per game... voted by league head coaches as the MVP among the offensive backs of the MACJC’s North Division and shared the 2010 NJCAA All-Region 23 quarterbacking honors.
High School: Elite 11 Award winner as a senior after he threw for 2,000 yards and 18 touchdowns and ran for another 400 yards with 12 tds... first team all-conference selection... 2,536 yards passing and 20 tds as a junior with 361 yards rushing and eight touchdowns... all-conference and all-region honors as a junior... three-year starter at Starkville HS... guided his team to three straight state playoff appearances.
Personal: Born Sept. 16, 1989... son of Rosaland Henderson who is a registered nurse... three brothers, Brian (22), Bryce (18), and Brett Bush (14), and a sister, Briana (19)... has a daughter, Bailee Nakole Henderson.
