2011: Was named an Associated Press All-American (third team)... was a two time Southland Defensive Player of the Week after impressive games against Delta State, where he had nine tackles in which three went for losses, with one QB hurry, and at Nicholls State where he spearheaded a shutout win by recording eight tackles, making one interception and forcing a fumble – with both turnovers leading to scores … he forced a fumble in a fourth-quarter goalline stand that preserved a one-score lead in a 23-10 win at Texas State … for the second straight year he led the team in tackles, making 91 tackles in 10 games (missing the LSU game and much of the SMU game with a hamstring injury)… of those 91 tackles, 68 were solo and he assisted on 23… he also led the team with 10 tackles for loss.
2010: After a breakout season in his first year as a starter… voted by teammates as the 2010 team Defensive Most Valuable Player … his 138 tackles led the Southland as he ranked 14th nationally despite opening the season with only 4 stops at Air Force … had 10 tackles for loss, best among the Demons … broke up 3 passes, had 6 QB hurries … his 138 tackles (85 solos) were the most at NSU since 1991, when senior All-America LB and Walter Payton Trophy runner-up Andre Carron set the single-season school record with 176 … became first sophomore since 2000 (Terrence McGee, return specialist) to earn All-America honors … career high 18 tackles vs. Nicholls and vs. McNeese … 17 vs. Samford … 15 tackles, 1 sack, 2 TFL, 2 PBU, and a QB hurry in 16-3 win at Texas State, earning him Louisiana defensive player of the week honors from the Louisiana Sports Writers Association.
2009: Played in nine games and finished the season with 18 stops... recorded a season-high six tackles at Baylor and had five stops at Southeastern Louisiana... had a tackle for a loss to go with four stops at McNeese State.
2008: Redshirted.
High School: Coaches' All-State, Times-Picayune All-Metro, All-Westbank and all-district at linebacker ... team captain for a state semifinalist with a 9-4 record ... 121 tackles, 23 for lost yardage, 4 sacks, 3 interceptions, 1 returned for a touchdown, and 8 pass breakups in 2007 ... had 33 tackles, 5 for lost yards, and a sack in his junior year ... sophomore year was wiped out by Hurricane Katrina ... played for coach Floyd Griffin.
