Biography

General:  NSU's resident defensive ace, provides a few points per game while using drawing opposition's top offensive threat. Solid, all-around athlete.

1987-88:  Offensive production suffered as defensive responsibilities increased ... started in every game he appeared (23) and was third on squad in average minutes per game (29) ... dislocated shoulder while trying to keep ball inbounds against Southwest Texas State (2/11) and missed next five games before returning for season's final three contests ... averaged 6.3 points, a figure which was above his career scoring average headed into campaign ... 28 turnovers were fewest among fulltime players ... set new career high for points in a game with 24 point outburst against Southeastern Louisiana (1/9) in 68-49 Demon romp.

1986-87:  Scoring average went up a full 3.0 per game ... doubled rebound average (from 1.1 to 2.2) ... second on team in dunks with six slams .. improved assist average (to 2.5, up from 1/7) while decreasing total turnovers (30, down from 36) ... nailed down six three pointers in 18 attempts, making him leading returnee in that department ... scored in all but Rice game (12/6) .. reached double figures including eight of his final 11 games ... ripped down season and career high seven rebounds against Southeastern Louisiana (2/16) in 88-70 Demon win and had eight assists twice - in that game and one week later vs. Southwest Texas (2/23),

1985-86:  Appeared in more games (27) than any other Demon freshman ... started two games (Arkansas-Little Rock, 1/11 and Northeast Louisiana, 1/18) registering a brief career high for points (20) in the NLU contest ... first points of collegiate career came on baseline dunk in Kentucky's Rupp Arena (1/22).

High School:  Helped Grambling to State A Championship title during final prep season (1984-85) ... team went 33-1 with Wesley scoring (23.0) and rebounding (10.0) in double figures ... named district MVP, all-state, all-North Louisiana and Class A 24 Tournament MVP ... high jump 6-7 as a high school trackstaer.
