1986-87:  Appeared in 11 games, scoring in nine contests .. season high of eight points came against Arkansas Baptist in January 10 home contest ... played season-high nine minutes in that game, going four of four from the field and dealing out three assists ... peeled off five rebound against Southeastern Louisiana (2/16) for season's best effort in the board department .. in all, averaged 2.9 points and 1.9 rebounds with two dunks ... shot 55.5% from the floor (11 of 20) and 75% from the free throw line (nine of 12),

Junior College:  Started at point guard for Hiwasse Junior College (Madisonville, Tenn.) during 1985-86 campaign after beginning career at Eastern Kentucky ... helped Hiwasse to Tennessee Junior College state championship and an over record of 24-8 ... averaged 15.0 ppg, six rebounds, five assists and 2.8 steals per game ... was an all-conference selection.

High School: Attended Brainerd High School, earning total of seven letters (three basketball, two tennis, two cross country) ... team won state basketball title during his senior year as he averaged 11 ppg and ten rebounds ... named all-district, all-region, all-city and Tennessee Sports Writers honorable mention all-state ... won MVP award of district tournament his junior year.
