Seemed destined to be at Northwestern from birth, for his middle name is "Demon." And he could be a terror to other teams on court, if his nicknames "Super Cooper" and "Night-Train" are any indication. Coach Bell labels Cooper "an explosive athlete,"

At Jim Hill HS: Honored as MVP in his senior year and nominated as a McDonald's All-American, Cooper averaged 19.2 points per game to pace the team to a 17-11 finish. He was also chosen for the all-city team and as the best offensive player in his junior year and added an all-metro selection as a senior. His former teammate Carlos Day now plays for Belhaven.

Personal: Zaveon is majoring in computer technology. He was in the Honor Society in high school, and was involved in the Spanish Club. He has two younger siblings, Edwin and Tambrela.
