2017 Outdoor Season: Competed in the 1500 and 3000 with two appearances...had a top-10 finish in the 3000 in the Louisiana Tech Jim Mize Invitational (10:32.59)...career best in the 1500 (4:30.41), 1 mile (4:59.51), 3000 (10:32.59).
 
2017 Indoor Season: Competed in the mile with a lone appearance in the McNeese Indoor Meet, finishing 13th (4:59.51).
 
High School: A 2016 graduate of Parkway High School … participated in cross country, indoor track, outdoor track and baseball … three-time All-District and two-time All-Metro selection in cross country … was the District 1-5A MVP and the 5A Outdoor Parish MVP … finished final year as the eighth-ranked senior in the class of 2016 ... selected to the Wendy’s High School Heisman team in 2016.
 
Personal: Son of Rhonda and John Hammons…born April 23, 1998 …brother of Emily...pre-med major who plans to pursue a career in neurology … received an Academic Scholarship from NSU.
