2021 Outdoor Season: Specialty triple jumper who reached the NCAA East Preliminaries (no mark) … finished fourth at the SLC Championships with a 50-10.75 … three other 50-plus marks, including a 51-2.25 at Texas Relays (seventh) … won at NSU with a 50-5, placed third at Texas A&M and fifth at LSU Boots Garland … long jumped four times with a season best 22-3.

2020 Outdoor Season: Canceled due to Covid-19 pandemic.
2020 Indoor Season: Competed in the triple and long jump ... set a new personal best in the triple at the Houston G5-Super 22 Invitational with a jump of 51-3 finishing eighth overall, the third longest in the conference on the season ... placed in the top three in three other meets ... won the Tyson Invitational with a jump of 51-2.25 and finished third at the Ted Nelson Invitational (49-7.25) and Southland Conference Championship (50-10) ... placed fourth at the Texas A&M Invitational with a jump of 49-8.25 ... set a new personal best in the long jump at the SLC Championship with a jump of 23-4.75 with a fifth place finish ... only two other scores came at the Tyson Invitational (22-6.5) and Houston G5-Super 22 Invitational (21-7.5).
2019 Outdoor Season: Competed in the long jump and the triple jump… placed second in the triple jump at the Southland Conference Championship (49-11.75) and 38
th at the NCAA Division One East Regional (48-5.5).
2019 Indoor Season: Competed in the long jump and the triple jump… placed fifth in the triple jump at the Southland Conference Championship (49-8.5), second at the LSU Bayou Bengal (49-7.75), and fourth at the Sooner Challenge (48-6).
2018 Outdoor Season: Competed in both long and triple jumps events at nine meets on the year…took back-to-back fourth place finishes in the triple jump at ULM Warhawk Invitational (48-6 ¾) and LSU Alumni Gold (50-5 ½) meets…earned fifth at the SLC Outdoor Championships (49-3 ½) and ninth at TCU Invitational (46-6 ¾)…posted a mark of 46-11 ¾ at NCAA East Preliminary…made three marks in long jump over five events with an 11
th place finish at the Leon Johnson NSU Invitational (22-5), 14th at the MSU Cowboy Relays/Bob Hayes La. Challenge (21-10 ¼), and 21
st at the SLC Outdoor Championships (22-8 (-2.7w)
2018 Indoor Season: Specialized in the triple jump this season with five competitions but only tree posted marks and two foul outs…his season and career best came in the Pittsburg State Invitational where he posted a 51-1 taking first place…earned two other top-10 finishes…seventh at the LSU Bayou Bengal (47-2 ½) and eighth at the UA Tyson Invitational (50-2 ½).

2017 Outdoor Season: Competed in the long jump and triple jump in eight meets...had three top-five finishes...best result was finishing third in the TCU Invitational (48-7 ¼)...finished fourth in the Louisiana Tech Jim Mize Invitational (46-10 ¾)...finished fifth in the Baylor Invitational (48-10)...finished 10th in the Southland Conference Outdoor Championships.
2017 Indoor Season:Â Competed in the long jump and triple jump in three meets...best result was finishing first in the UAB Vulcan Invite (50-3/4), which was also the season best for the team.

High School: A 2016 graduate of Leesville High School … lettered three times in football and track & field … helped the Wampus Cats to the district and regional championship in the triple jump … named first team All-Cenla, and first team all-state in the triple jump his junior year … as a senior, was first team All-Cenla in the long and triple jump … also won the indoor state championship in the triple jump and third place in the outdoor triple jump.

Personal: Son of Shaconya Thompson and Velondro Lyons … has one sister, Morgan Thompson … majoring in general studies with plans to become a psychologist … life’s ambition is to have a professional career in track and field.
