2018 Outdoor Season: Specialized in the javelin with seven total meet competitions in the event…placed in the top-10 in six of the seven meets with three podium finishes among them…took home the top spot at the SFA Skecher’s Performance Carl Kight Invitational with a throw of 128-1 (39.04m)…placed second at two meets, the ULM Warhawk Invitational (123-10) and the Leon Johnson NSU Invitational (128-3)…threw her season best distance at the SLC Outdoor Championships with a mark of 133-9 (40.78) taking seventh in the conference…second best throw of the season came in the season opener at the MSU Cowboy Relays/Bob Hayes La. Challenge where she threw a 132-2 ½ (40.29m) distance
2017 Southland Conference Commissioner’s Spring Honor Roll
2017 Outdoor Season: Competed in seven meets in the javelin throw… placed ninth at the SLC Outdoor Championships (125-9)… achieved top-ten results in all of the meets she participated in with her best performances at the UH Tom Tellez Invitational in fourth (123-7), the UTA Bobby Lane Invitational in fifth (118-1) and the TCU Invitational in sixth (128-1) which started her collegiate personal record.
High School: A 2016 graduate of Alexandria Senior High … participated in basketball, softball, and track & field … state champion javelin thrower as a senior and was twice named to the All-Cenla team … four-time all-district member in softball, also named to the All-Cenla team and won a state championship in 2016.
Personal: Daughter of Phyllis and Brent Thiels … born on March 9, 1998 … has two brothers, Tyler and Brenton and a sister, Tiffany… majoring in biology with a concentration in natural science… has plans to attend graduate school and wants to be a marine biologist.
