2007 Season
Played in 36 games with 24 starts... hit .197 with 10 runs batted in... was 4 for 5 in stolen bases... committed just four errors at second base and shortstop and just one error in 15 conference games played... had two multi-hit games... went 2 for 5 with two RBIs and a run scored at Jacksonville State (Mar. 9)... was 2 for 3 with a double, triple, two runs scored and a walk against Stephen F. Austin (Arp. 5).
Before NSU
Played two seasons at Navarro College, helping his team to a 42-15 record and TEAC championship as a sophomore, hitting .315... played for Skip Johnson, who is now the pitching coach at the University of Texas.
High School
4-time All-District and 2-time All-City selection from Riverside High School in El Paso... also All-District in football where he earned the team’s MVP honors as a senior... hit .467 as a senior as his team were the Bi-District champions... Bi-District and Area champions his freshman through junior seasons.
Personal
Born Sept. 18, 1986... son of Ricardo and Carmen Gallegos... one brother, Ricardo (28) and twin sisters, Karina and Corina (14) Gallegos... majoring in criminal justice... would like to work for the Drug Enforcement Agency after his graduation in 2009.
