2020 Southland Conference Commissioner’s Spring Honor Roll
2021 Season:
• Appeared in 51 games, starting 49, in his final collegiate season.
• hit safely in his final four games, including a 2-for-4 performance in a May 18 win at LSU.
• posted a 4-for-9 doubleheader with a home run and two runs scored at Central Arkansas on May 1.
• went 4-for-4 with a home run, a walk and three RBIs in a Game 2 win against Nicholls on April 24.
• posted his third three-hit game of the year, a 3-for-5 performance with a pair of RBIs in an April 16 loss at Houston Baptist.
• produced his second straight two-RBI game in a the opening game of an April 10 against Lamar.
• had two go-ahead RBIs in a 10-inning win at Abilene Christian on April 3.
• went 3-for-3 with a pair of walks in a Game 2 win at Abilene Christian on April 2.
• cracked a three-run home run in the 12th inning and threw out a pair of runners on the bases in an April 1 win at Abilene Christian.
• went 2-for-4 with his first home run of the season in a 5-4 win against Incarnate Word on March 12.
• went 3-for-5 with a two-run double in a 7-1 Game 2 win at Southern Miss on Feb. 21.
Summer 2020:
• Played for the Acadiana Cane Cutters of the Texas Collegiate League.
2020 Season:
• Started all 16 games as NSU's primary catcher while also drawing starts at designated hitter and first base.
• tied for the team lead with 20 hits and ranked second in batting average (.333) and third in RBIs (13).
• hit safely in 14 of 16 games, including nine straight to open the season, pushing his career-best run to 14 games dating to 2019.
• had the last of his six multi-hit games in the season finale March 10 at Grambling, going 2-for-4.
• went 1-for-1 with a walk, a hit by pitch and a pair of RBIs in an 8-3 win against Abilene Christian on March 8.
• had consecutive two-hit games against Eastern Illinois (March 1) and at Southern (March 3).
• went 2-for-5 with an RBI in a 10-8 win at UL Lafayette on Feb. 26.
• had the Demons' lone hit -- an RBI single -- in a 5-1 loss against Wichita State on Feb. 15.
• went 2-for-5 with a tie-breaking, three-run home run in an 11-0 opening-night win against Wichita State on Feb. 14.
2019 Season:
• Appeared in 36 games, starting 27 in his first season at the Division I level.
• fnished the season by hitting .306 (11-for-36) in his final 10 games, including a five-game hit streak to end the season.
• went 3-for-4 with a game-tying RBI in a 6-5 win against McNeese on April 20.
• homered as part of a 2-for-4 efforrt in a 9-7 win against Nicholls on April 5.
• drilled his first career home run in a 24-11 win at Abilene Christian on March 9.
Prior to NSU:
• Two-year letterman at Blinn College.
• third-team Academic All-American pick as a sophomore had 11 home runs and a .415 on-base percentage.
• named first-team all-region after hitting .350 with five home runs and 15 doubles as a freshman.
• added regional Defensive Player of the Year honors as a freshman.
• graduated with a 3.6 grade-point average.
High School:
• Three-year letterman for coach John Pope at Cypress Ranch High School.
• three-time first-team all-district selection was the district MVP as a senior.
• helped lead the Mustangs to the Class 6A state title as a junior.
