1995-96 Post Season Guide: Shirlynda has been a starter for most of the season and is having a solid senior year .. she has appeared in all 27 games, starting 23 ... she is athletic and can run the floor .. is one of the best perimeter shooters on the team.
    She has scored a season-high 15 points twice, against Louisiana College (12/6) and at Texas-Arlington (1/27) ... scored 14 points and grabbed four rebounds in NSU's season opening 84-83 2OT loss to then-No. 10 Arkansas .. she is shooting 45.8% (70-153) from the firld and 68.5% (37-54) from the foul line.

1994-95: Hampered by an early season wrist injury ... played in 26 games ... averaged 2.9 points and 2.2 rebounds per game ... totaled 14 assists and 15 steals on the season ... scored a career-high 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds in 60-51 win over Texas-Arlington (1/5/95) ... had season highs of four assists vs. Northeast Louisiana (1/2/95) and two blocks vs. Harding (1/9/95)

1993-94:  Played in all 28 games, starting 13 ... averaged 6.9 points and 3.3 rebounds per game ... mad 68 of 170 (.400) field goal attempts and 55 of 76 (.724) free throws attempts ... tallied 24 assists and 24 steals for the season ... had career highs of 13 points against McNeese and eight rebounds against Southern Mississippi ... averaged 27 minutes per contest.

1992-93: Saw action in 23 games as a freshman playing behind senior Anika Moore last year ... averaged 8.5 minutes per game ... hit 19 of 46 shots (.391) from the floor and 24 of 32 (.750) from the free throw line for a total of 61 points and a 2.7 scoring average for the season ... averaged 1.6 rebounds a contest ... also had seven steals, two blocked shots and seven assists to her credit for the season ... had two 10-point games, the first on Jan. 7 vs. Nicholls State and again on Feb. 13 vs. Sam Houston State .. high rebound output was seven vs. McNeese State on Feb. 9

High School: Teammate of Joskeen Garner her senior year at Florein HS ... Class B All-State selection as a senior ... quietly dominated the middle, pulling down missed shots and scoring on post-up moves, averaging 16.6 points and 5.3 rebounds a game ... a four-year all-district selection ... All-State Class B First Team selection as a junior as she averaged 18.9 points, 6.5 rebounds and 3 steals per game ... All-Tournament Sweet 16 and Shreveport times All-Area Team selection after her senior season ... scored 2,871 points and grabbed 1,263 rebounds in her 220-game career ... an Academic All-Starter as she graduated with a 3.5 GPA ... a member of Beta Club ... senior class secretary ... graduated with honors ... named to the Florein Hall of Fame ... had the distinction of attending school for 13 years with a perfect attendance record.
