1995-96 Post Season Guide: Shaw is the heart and soul of the team ... she is having her best all-round season as a Lady Demon .
  Really improved her free throw shooting over the past two seasons and is shooting 70.9% (61 of 86) from the free throw this season ... she ranks second in the SLC in assists (5.3) and eighth in steals (2.2) ... her 4.6 rebounds per game is the most she's averaged as a Lady Demon ... she has recorded double-figures in assists four times this season.
    Shaw moved into second place on NSU's career assists list with six against Sam Houston (2/29) ... she has 569 career assists, surpassing Michelle Efferson (564) .. she is fifth on the school's steals list with 250 and has 1,291 career points.
    Scored 18 points and dished out 14 assists, tying her career-best, against East Texas Baptist ... grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds, to go along with 18 points, in NSU's 65-63 loss to TUA ... nearly recorded her first career triple-double vs. North Texas in her final home game, scoring 19 points, dishing out 10 assists and grabbing nine rebounds ... she was named LSWA "Player of the Week" for her efforts.
1994-95:Â Second-team All-SLC and honorable mention All-Louisiana pick .. played and started in 31 games ... led the team in assists for the third consecutive season with 163 ... led the team in minutes played, averaging 37.5 per game ... averaged 13.4 points and 4.4 rebounds per game .. was second in the SLC in assist with 5.3 per game ... tallied 163 assists giving her 426 assists for her career, which ranks fourth on the all-time list ... led the team in free throw shooting hitting 95 of 127 (.748) ... had season high of nine steals and nine assists vs. Texas-San Antonio (1/26/95) ... scored a career best 25 points in the Lady Demons 77-66 win over Sam Houston (2/16/95) .. scored 13 points and dished out nine assists in Northwestern's 92-83 wind over Northeast Louisiana in the first round of the Century Cellunet SLC Classic .. totaled 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds against Notre Dame in the semi-finals of the NWIT
1993-94: Provided solid leadership at the point guard spot ... played in 27 games, starting in 26 ... played 982 minutes, second highest on the team ... second team All-SLC selection ... honorable mention All-Louisiana pick ... led the team in assists with 141, 5.2 per game, finishing second in the Southland Conference ... averaged 11.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 68 steals ... season and career high of 21 points in an 83-78 overtime loss at SFA ... had career high 14 assists against East Texas Baptist.
1992-93: Perhaps the biggest surprise for Smith and the Lady Demons .. started the final 26 games of the season and played in all 32 as a freshman ... played the third-highest total minutes ont he Northwestern team with 962 ... led the team with 122 assists (3.8 per game), finishing 10th in the Southland Conference in that category ... averaged 6.9 points, 2.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game ... finished third on the team with 58 steals ... had a team-high 21 points vs. Arkansas ... personal best in assists ws 10 vs. Southwest Texas ... had five steals vs. Marquette.
High School:Â Won most valuable player honors for the LISA Class A division in basketball and softball ... average 24.7 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals as a senior, coming off a productive junior campaign as well that saw her pump in 24 points, grab 15.3 rebounds and dish off 4.5 assists per outing ... received many outstanding awards, among them being Most Valuable Player, All-District, Most Athletic, the Pioneer Award, Co-MVP All-District, All-State and All-State MVP ... chosen to the All-Tournament team three out of her last four seasons ... also chosen to the all-area team by the Shreveport Times and Journal as a senior ... played AAU basketball her sophomore and junior years ... her team went to nationals two years in a row and placed second in the nation both times ... all-state MVP in softball ... other school activities included Fellowship of Christian Athletes, 4-H, Student Council and National Honor Society ... was chosen class favorite, wittiest, cheerleader, class officer, member of the homecoming court, Most Athletic, Most Talented and Most Likely to Succeed ... graduated with a 3.5 GPA
