Associate head coach Adam Pennington's comments:
"Courtney is one of many Butler Community College kids I've had the pleasure of coaching. We share the same junior college coach, so I knew beforehand that I was getting a great athlete. She has improved so much on the track and has matured tremendously. She's a kid that runs like every race is her last. When the stick was in her hand, I knew she was going to bring it."
