2018 Outdoor Season: Competed in the distance events of the 3000, 5000, and 3000 meter steeplechase events…ran in the 3000 meters at two meets with a silver finish at the ULM Warhawk Invitational (10:43.96) and a 10
th place finish at the MSU Cowboy Relays/Bob Hayes La. Challenge (11:04.77)…ran in the 5000 meters once at the Leon Johnson NSU Invitational winning the event with a time of 18:41.84…competed in the 3000 meter steeplechase at four meets with four top-10 finishes during the season…highest finish of second came at the TCU Invitational (11:55.14) and taking the bronze at the LSU Alumni Gold (11:29.58)…fastest time of the season came in the SLC Outdoor Championships running an 11:21.57 and taking sixth at the conference meet
2018 Indoor Season: Competed in the 800 meters, 1-mile, 3000 meters, and as a member of the distance medley relay team during the season…ran the 800 meters once at the Pittsburg State Invitational (2:29.15) finishing 21
st overall…ran the 1-mile run twice with 21
st place finishes at both the Pittsburg State Invitational (5:29.68) and Pittsburg State Gorilla Classic (5:26.19)…competed in the 3000 meter race twice with an eighth place finish at the LSU Bayou Bengal (10:55.22) but her best time coming at the SLC Indoor Championships (10:46.37) but finishing 33
rd in the meet…participated in the distance medley relay once at the SLC Indoor Championships along with Erin Wrozek, Courtney Willis, and Jasmine Dansby placing 10
th at the SLC Indoor Championships with a time of 12:42.37
2017 Outdoor Season: Participated in six meets in the 1500, 3000, 5000 and 3000 steeplechase… competed in the SLC Outdoor Championships placing 13
th in the 3000 steeplechase (12:16.28)… earned a team season-best result at the LSU Alumni Gold meet also in the 3000 steeplechase (11:52.42) where she placed third… improved her personal record in the 5000 at the UTA Bobby Lane Invitational with a 19
th place result (19:31.42)…maintained additional personal records in the 800 (2:27.82), the 1500 (4:56.20), the 3000 (10:53.9h) and the 3000 steeplechase (11:47.15).
2017 Indoor Season: Participated in two meets in the 3000… was selected for the Southland Conference All-Academic Track and Field Team… best performance of the season was at the UAB Vulcan Invite where she placed 19
th (11:59.68)... maintained her personal records in the 800 (2:24.04) and in the 1-mile (5:36.39).
2016 Outdoor Season: Distance runner who competed in seven meets … finished second in the 1500 at the Louisiana Tech Jim Mize Invitational (5:03.01) … won the 3000 at the Louisiana Tech Jim Mize Invitational (10:53.91) … claimed second at the Leon Johnson NSU Invitational in the 5000 (20:27.36) … in the 3000 steeplechase, she had a first and a second in the Leon Johnson NSU Invitational (11:54.10) and the UTA Bobby Lane Invitational (12:14.22), respectively … qualified for the SLC Outdoor Championships in the steeplechase, where she finished 13th overall (12:09.24).
2016 Indoor Season: Distance runner who competed in five meets … had two top-10s in the 3000 run, including finishing fifth in the McNeese Invite (11:11.52) … qualified for the SLC Indoor Championships, where she was 31st overall (10:53.44).
2015 Outdoor Season: Participated in eight meets… had seven top-five finishes… ran the 800 in 2:27.82 at the Demon Triangular Invite… best performance in the 1500 was at SFA Skechers Carl Kight Invitational with a time of 4:56.20… ran 11:06.65 in the 3000 at Louisiana Tech Jim Mize Invitational… broke into the NSU Lady Demon Top 5 performers with a best time of 11:47.15 in the 3000 steeplechase at the SLC Outdoor Championships.
2015 Indoor Season: Participated in three meets… best time in the 800 was ran at the SLC Indoor Championships with a time of 2:24.04… came in third in the mile at LSU Invitational with a time of 5:39.63.
High School: Lettered four years in soccer and two years in cross country... earned academic all-state, a member of the national honor society, and she was a valedictorian… finished with a 4.0 GPA in high school… as a senior won district MVP in soccer, earned second-team all-state and was selected to the all-star team…. became a pole vault district champ and a regional runner-up in her senior year… was selected as Miss DHS in her senior year of high school.
Personal: Daughter of Dena and Robert Rushford… born July 11, 1996… has one brother, Connor, and a sister, Kimmie… sister Kimmie is a state champion and Junior Olympic All-American pole vaulter… majoring in health and exercise science… plans to attend physical therapy school and have a career in sports medicine.
