2013 Outdoor Season: Competed in the discus and hammer throw… posted a personal-best discus throw of 156-01 at the Texas State Bobcat Invitational, winning the event… registered a personal-best hammer throw mark of 143-01 at the McNeese Springtime Classic. 
 
2013 Indoor Season:  Competed in the shot put and weight throw… finished 11th in the shot put at the MSSU Lion Open with a personal-best throw of 40-11.75… placed 11th in the weight throw at the LSU Twilight Indoor with a personal-best mark of 49-04.25… finished 10th in the shot put (40-04.00) and 12th in the weight throw (48-05.25) at the SLC Championships.

2012 Outdoor Season:  Competed in the shot put, hammer throw and discus… threw for a personal-best mark of 140-04 at the SLC Championships; placing 13th… registered a personal-best discus throw of 139-07 at the Southeastern Lions Invitational to place third… finished 11th in the discus at the SLC Championships with a mark of 134-06. 
 
2012 Indoor Season:  Placed 16th at the SLC Championships with personal-record mark of 44-08.00.
 
2011 Outdoor Season:  Placed 18th at the SLC Cham­pionships in the discus with a mark of 121-01… best throw in the discus was 138-10 at the Demon Invitational… finished fifth at the Cowboy Relays with a throw of 126-04 in the discus… five top 10 finishes in the discus… also threw both shot and hammer at the Cowboy Relays and Louisiana Classics… at the Cowboy Relays had marks of 37-03.75 in the shot and 108-04 in the hammer… had marks of 38-07.75 in the shot and 110-07 in the hammer at the Louisiana Classics. 
 
2011 Indoor Season:  Threw the shot put and the weight throw but did not have any top 10 finishes.
 
High School: Lettered two years in track and one in volleyball… career records: 39-10 in shot put and 124-0 in discus… named Most Valuable Player, IIIA Regional Champion, East Texas Elite and Female Athlete of the Year her senior year… holds the school record in the shot put and discus… was academic all-district… participated in year­book, Key Club, Fine Arts Forum and Ladies Etiquette… Shay was the only female to graduate from the Tatum High School class of 2010 with an athletic scholarship.
 
Personal: Daughter of Fred and Deshala Johnson… born Dec. 23, 1991… has one brother, Latorris… majoring in general studies with a minor in social science… plans to go into coaching… nicknamed Shay.
