General: Has best jumping ability on squad and should be comfortable enough with offensive system to warrant more playing time. Athletic skills alone make him a candidate for game action.

1986-87:  Appeared in eight games as all of his action came in off the bench duty ... one of few players on team to score more points on the road (13) than at home (eight) ... year's best effort came vs. Sam Houston State (2/21) with season high eight points on four of seven shooting from the field ... pulled down season high five rebounds in that game, all in just nine minutes of action ... that was also his best conference outing of the year, though he did appear in four other league contests.

High School:   Graduated from Washington High School but played for Westover High ... did not play junior high basketball but made team in tenth grade ... moved up to varsity one month later and helped team to 25-2 record ... a starter both his junior and senior seasons, averaging 16.0 ppg and nine rebounds per game during his final prep campaign as team went 18-7 during junior season and 15-8 one year later ... named to South all-star team in Georgia following final season, one of just a dozen players selected from the state.

Personal: 21 years old ... majoring in fine arts.

Coach Beasley says: "Duane's our best jumper and is the most explosive player around the goal that we have.  Because of his lack of playing experience, he needs to get quality playing time. He has a chance to be one of our most exciting players."
