1985-86:  Saw scoring (15.3 to 12.8) and rebounding (7.6 to 5.2) averages fall below number posted during freshman season ... made most of those baskets count, however, as he finished seventh in the nation in field goal percentage (.628) ... shot 69.3% from the floor in league play, including a perfect nine for nine outing vs. Nicholls (2/15) ... posted double figures in 20 of 26 games, leading team in scoring seven times and finishing as second top scorer in three contests .. had consecutive game starting string of 54 snapped after sitting out season finale vs. Southwest Texas State with a bum back ... led Gulf Star in field goal percentage and finished tenth in the league's scoring race ... named to the GSC's second team.

Demons leading scorer in 14 games, top rebounder in 16 encounters ... ended up in double figures 21 times and performed the same feat in rebounding department on nine occasions.

High School: Wound up high school career as Captain Shreve's second leading all-time scorer with 1,422 points ... district MVP his senior year after averaging 20.3 points and 7.3 rebounds .. also an all-state selection.

Personal: 21 years old... physical education major.

Coach Beasley Says:  "George has become the backbone of our team. He's our only senior and he should develop into a dominating, prolific player. He's been in the top ten percent in the nation in field goal percentage each of the last two years, so I think that it would be a good idea to draw up some plays where he'll be getting the ball."
