2003: Played regularly at fullback along with starter Titus May and Demoine Clark in a highly-effective three-man rotation...Made his debut at tailback in the fourth quarter of a nationally-televised (The Football Network) 49-19 rout of Texas State and had a memorable 13-yard burst, bowling over two tacklers...Ran for 30 yards on 5 carries, including a 5 yard TD...For the season, totaled 107 yards rushing, a 4.3 average per carry, to finish as the top rusher among fullbacks. 

Before NSU: Banna graduated with a 3.81 grade point average in 2000 from Mesquite (Texas) Poteet High School, where he competed in track and field...He attended Missouri Western State for 18 months before transferring to Northwestern State.
