Northwestern State University of Louisana

At Abbeville HS: Won 12 letters in football, basketball and baseball and was Academic All-State (3.7 gpa) in football and basketball. A three-time all-district adn all-parish basketball star, Mula helped the Wildcats go 73-47 in four seasons, including two 20-win seasons. In his senior year, AHS was 22-11, district runner-ups and reached the state playoffs for the first time in 12 years. He averaged 10 points and 6 assists as a sophomore, 13.4 ppg and 7 assists as a junior and 10.8 ppg and 8 assists as a senior. Mula was also quarterback of the football team, making honorable mention all-district four-years with almost 3,000 career passing yards and 15 TD passes. In baseball, he was all-district and all-parish two years and helped AHS go 62-34 in four years.

Personal:  Mitchell Anthony Mula is the son of J.Y. and Elaine Mula. His father is a school principal. His older brother Jared plays baseball at LSU. He has three other brothers and sisters: Mark, Stacie, and Jennifer. Mitch hasn't decided on a major yet, but he does plan to attend graduate school.
