2010 Season: Kayla Cole went a perfect 4 for 4 with two RBIs to push the second game of a doubleheader against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi to extra innings….displayed her role as an offensive threat with 12 multi-hit games…started all 54 games…marked a team high .425 on-base percentage, .314 batting average (2nd highest on the team), .442 slugging, three home runs and 26 RBIS… selected to the All-Louisiana collegiate softball team as an honorable mention pick.
At Motlow JC: As a freshman, team finished the season 27-21 as Kayla was a 2nd team all-conference selection….in her sophomore season, Motlow went 40-16…in that season Kayla earned 1st team all-conference, TJCC Player of the Year, member of the all-south team, 2nd team All-America…she battled .492 with 15 HRs…Kayla broke school single-season records in doubles (24) and hits (90).
At Culleoka HS: While at Culleoka, Kayla lettered in volleyball for five seasons, softball for four seasons and basketball for two seasons…was all-district in volleyball and softball as a freshman…had the highest batting average and was all-district in volleyball and softball in her sophomore year…as a junior, Kayla again earned all-district in softball…in her final season at Culleoka she was all-district in volleyball…named the District 8AAA MVP and had the highest batting average in the district…was a member of DECA, Pep Club, Journalist Club and Spanish Club.
Personal File: Born Kayla Stephanie Cole on July 10, 1989….daughter of Charlie and Monica Cole…has one brother Tim (31) and one sister Danielle (23)…Kayla is a psychology major…upon graduation, she plans to find a good job in her field of study in Nashville, Tennessee…her life's ambition is “to fulfill all the goals I've set for myself and never have any regrets”.
