2022 Outdoor Season: Shifted to a steeplechase runner in the last month of the season, scoring a point at the SLC Championships with a PR 10:39.58 to finish eighth … clocked a PR 4:15.46 in the 1500 meters at SFA (22^nd).

2022 Indoor Season: Competed in two indoor meets, including a seventh-place finish in the DMR (10:42.53) … added a mile PR (4:48.64) to place 16^th at Texas A&M.

High School: Three-year participant in cross country at Hahnville High … part of three team district championships … three-year all-district performer, winning an individual district title as a senior … also competed two years in track and one in baseball … two-mile district champion as a senior and one-mile district runner-up.

Personal: Son of Alvin and Sheri Melancon … has a brother Chance and sisters Leah and Rachael … majoring in unified public safety with plans to be a wildlife and fisheries agent … avid hunter and fisher.
