2024 Outdoor Season: Broke through to nationals in the men's discus, tossing a personal-best 195-2 at the NCAA East Regionals on his first throw ... second team All-Louisiana in the discus ... found the podium twice at the Southland Conference Championships, including earning the gold in the discus, tossing a 184-7 ... tossed a 194-10 in the hammer throw to take home the silver ... nearly reached the podium in the shot put, finishing fourth with a throw of 56-4 ... broke the school record in the hammer with a toss of 195-8 at the Corky/Crofoot Shootout ... registered a 193-4 in the hammer throw at the Keyth Talley Invitational ... also threw at least 180-0 in the hammer at the Leon Johnson Invitational (192-1) and Louisiana Classic (185-4) ... tossed a 188-5 in the discus to win the event at the Leon Johnson Invitational ... also threw at least 180-0 in the discus at the LSU Alumni Gold (181-8) and Bobcat Invitational (183-7) and the Louisiana Classic (184-8) ... posted a season-best 57-0 in the shot put at the Corky/Crofoot Shootout ... finished second in the shot put (55-11) at the Leon Johnson Invitational ... threw a 53-2.25 in the shot put at the Texas Relays ... tossed a 51-1.5 in the shot put at the Louisiana Classic ... named Academic All-Southland Conference.

2023 Outdoor Season: Reached the NCAA East prelims in the discus, finishing 40th with a toss of 167-6 ... Earned a gold medal at the Southland Conference championships in the discus with a toss of a personal-best 184-4 ... Also scored points at the SLC championships in the shot put (54-2.75), finishing fourth, and hammer throw (season-best 180-0), placing fifth ... Tossed a 183-0 in the discus at the Bobcat Invitational, one of two to reach 180-0 ... Won the discus at the Leon Johnson Invitational with a 179-8 ... 2023 Indoor Season: Competed in the shot put and weight throw in five meets ... Reached 55-0 in the shot put three times and at least 57-0 in the weight throw ... Tossed a season-best in the weight throw in the Southland Conference Indoor Championships with a 60-4, earning a bronze medal ... 2022 Outdoor Season: Found the podium three times at the SLC Championships as a thrower … took silver in the shot put (57-0), silver in the discus (176-11) and bronze in the hammer throw with a personal best 176-9 … pushed his way to the NCAA East Prelims in two events, logging qualifying marks in the NSU Last Chance Meet with a personal best 58-1 (shot) and in discus 182-7 … that 182-7 beat NSU’s previous program record and sits in third place behind his two thrower teammates … at Regionals, finished 41st in shot and 38th in discus … four other top-four finishes in shot, including a win at SFA, second at NSU, third at Texas State and fourth at Baylor … eight total top-three finishes in discus with second-place showings at NSU, SFA, Baylor and TCU … in the hammer, two top-three finishes, including a second at SFA.
2022 Indoor Season: The star thrower at SLC Championships, winning gold in the weight throw and silver in the shot put … owns NSU’s weight throw record with a 64-2.5, adding two other top three finishes at Texas A&M in the event … threw shot twice, added a sixth-place effort at Texas A&M.
Before NSU: Four-time NJCAA All-American, twice in the weight throw, once in the shot put and once in the discus … owns the British Virgin Islands national record in the hammer (161-5) … other bests (52-1.25 in the shot), (170-7 in the discus and 54-5.25 in the weight) … captured seventh in both the shot and discus as the NJCAA Outdoors Championships as a sophomore … took sixth in the weight throw as a freshman and sophomore at NJCAA Indoors.
Personal: Son of Trevor and Lynelle Gumbs … twin brother Djimon is also an NSU track athlete … two sisters, Trevia and Tynelle … general studies/social sciences major who would like to pursue a professional career in track & field and obtain a pilots license and become a throw's coach … plays the drums … life’s ambition is to glorify God through his athletic abilities and to be a blessing to others in as many ways as possible, as well as becoming successful and take care of his parents..
