2025 Season (at Tennessee): Competed in three meets for the Volunteers … ran season bests in the indoor season at the Texas A&M McFerrin 12 Degree Invite in the 60-meter dash (6.89), 200-meter dash (22.11) and as a member of the 4x400 relay (3:20.92) … also ran the 60 at the Orange & Purple Invitational (6.91) and Vanderbilt Invitational (6.96).

2024 Outdoor Season: Earned a spot at nationals with a season-best 39.28 at the NCAA East Regionals as part of the 4x100 relay team ... second team All-Louisiana as a member of the 4x100 relay team ... reached the podium twice at the Southland Conference Championships, including earning the gold in the 4x100 relay, clocking a 39.42 ... claimed the bronze in the 100-meter dash, running a 10.42 ... also earned points in the conference meet in the 200, running a 24.28 ... ran a season-best 20.57 in the 200-meter dash at the Bobcat Invitational ... clocked a season-best 10.22 in the 100-meter dash at the LSU Alumni Gold ... clocked a 10.24 in the 100-meter dash at the Keyth Talley Invitational, which earned him SLC Male Track Athlete of the Week ... ran a season-best 39.43 as a member of the 4x100 relay team at the Corky/Crofoot Shootout ... recorded a 39.54 as a member of the 4x100 team at the Corky/Crofoot Shootout ... posted a 3:11.40 as a part of the 4x400 relay at the Louisiana Classic ... ran a 20.80 in the 200m at the Keyth Talley Invitational and 20.89 at the conference championships prelims ... clocked a 10.29 in the 100 at the Corky/Crofoot Shootout.
2024 Indoor Season: Southland Conference Men's Outstanding Runner of the Year ... SLC Men's Newcomer of the Year ... competed in the 60-meters and 200-meters ... broke the SLC Championships record in the 200, running a 20.72 to capture the gold ... also won the gold in the 60, clocking a 6.68 ... had his two best times in the 200 at the conference meet, clocking a 21.09 in the prelims ... ran a season-best 6.62 in the 60 at the Jarvis Scott Open, which earned him SLC Male Track Athlete of the Week ... finished third in the 200 at Boston with a time of 21.16 ... placed fourth in the 60-meter dash at the Samford Invitational with a 6.70 after finishing third with a time of 6.76 in the prelims.

Prior to NSU: Competed for two years at South Plains Junior College … placed 12^th in the 200 with a season-best 20.60 in the NJCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships … also reached the NJCAA championships in the 100 and as a member of the 4x100 relay team, placing 13^th and third respectively … came in sixth in the 200 in the 2023 NJCAA Indoor Championships … finished third in the 200 in the NJCAA Outdoor Championships in 2022 … placed fourth in the 4x100 and 11^th in the 100 … ran a season-best 6.66 in the 60-meter dash at the 2023 TTU Jarvis Scott Open … clocked a 10.24 in the 100-meter dash at the 2022 Ross Black Track and Field Open.

High School: Standout in both track and football … won first place in state in both the 100 and 200 and came in second place in state as a member of the 4x100.

Personal: Son of Kermit and Keisha Gaines … has five brothers (Keishad, Kerrick, Kierhan, Kieleik and Kayson) … kinesiology major who would like to continue his track career.
