You must be a very good basketball player when you've been away from the game for two years, and college coaches are still knocking on your door. Such is the case with one of the Lady Demons' newest recruits, Lisa Carter.

A standout at Fort Walton Beach High School (Florida), the 5'9" forward was selected to the All-District and All-Conference first teams, along with being named County Player of the Year.

Coach Pat Pierson is happy to gain the services of Carter. "She is an outstanding all-around player," Pierson stated. "And she has the potential to become a top player. Lisa is a good outside shooter, a fine ball handler, and is very versatile ... she can play any position."

It is wished that Carter can come in right away, like Tracy Taylor did last season, and do the job for the Lady Demons. If she can, it will be a definite plus for Pierson and her forces.

Lisa hopes to put her computer tech education to use following graduation as she wants to become a computer programmer.
