Tracy is the "pure shooter" on the Lady Demon squad. "If I were in a game with 1 down and 15 seconds left she'd be the one I'd want to have the ball," said Coach Pierson. Being left-handed puts Tracy at an advantage on the basketball floor. In preseason her most improved area of play has been in her defense, "which was her major weakness," and she is expected to see a lot of action this year.
As a freshman, the 5'9" forward averaged 3.0 ppg and 1.1 rebounds per game after playing in a total of 27 games. Her season high that year was 12 points scored against Louisiana Tech. Shooting 48 percent from the field and 83 percent from the free throw line exemplifies her good shooting ability.
In her sophomore year, Willis shot. 400 percent from the field and .778 percent from the line. Her high game came against Southern Florida with 12 points.
East Beauregard High also benefited from Tracy's good shooting ability. As a senior prep, the slick shooter averaged 14 points per game hitting 54% from the field and 73% from the free throw line. In addition, she had 9.8 rebounds and 5.1 assists a game. She was awarded all district honors four straight years in high school.
Majoring in therapeutic recreation, the 21 year old wants a career in that field, and in addition wants to someday have a family.
