2006 Season (Sophomore): Posted a 1-15 record, playing at the challenging No. 2 spot...partnered with Magali Van den Bergh to go 3-12, including 3-11 at the No. 1 position.

2005 Season (Freshman): Seeing quite a bit of action her freshman season, Silva went 3-15 in singles competition, faring better in the challenging No. 2 spot at 2-7 than in the No. 3 position, where she went 1-8...in doubles, Silva paired with Catalina Villegas to go 2-3 at the No. 2 spot, but usually paired with Magali Van den Bergh, going 3-5 at the No. 2 position and 1-1 in the No. 3 spot.

High School: Silva attended Guarija HS in Guarija, Brazil.
 
Personal: Silva is majoring in Business Administration...plans to go into business putting her education from Northwestern and her experience with her father, who has worked in business for 30 years, to good use...she was born May 23, 1986...daughter of Beatriz Gomez Silva and Aniceu Horta Silva...she has two siblings: Renata and Fernando...Renata is also majoring in Business Administration...Silva is nicknamed "Nandie" and Fernandinha, which is a Portuguese term of endearment meaning little Fernanda...her full name is Fernanda Gomez Silva.
