2007 Season (Junior): Did not play.

2006 Season (Sophomore): Finished with a 6-9 record from her No. 4 singles position...teamed with freshman Helen Grimes to go 0-12 in the No. 3 doubles spot.

2005 Season (Freshman): In limited action in her freshman season, Alcantra finished 4-2 in the No. 6 singles spot, which was the best single singles record in 2005...in doubles, she teamed with Magali Van den Bergh to finish 2-3 in the No. 3 spot.

Previous to NSU: Alcantra was a well-rounded student at East St. John, who only played tennis as an extra-curricular activity through the United State Tennis Association since she was 8...also was a member of the FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and the Renaissance Club...helps out her old tennis coach with his summer camps.
 
Personal: Alcantra is majoring in Business Administration...she plans to become a stockbroker or own her own business...she was born in Lima, Peru on May 3, 1987...daughter of Pablo Alcantra and Rosemary Ramirez...mother is a waitress and father is a ttechnical engineer...father was first member of her family to earn a master's degree...she has two brothers, Silvio Alcantra and Pablo Alcantra, Jr...her nickname is "Chippy"...name is pronounced Mar-CEE-uh.
