2022 Season:
• Connected on his first home run as a Demon, an eighth-inning solo shot, to help ice a May 1 win against Southeastern.
• scored a run after being hit by a pitch in a March 12 Game 1 win against Alcorn.
• threw out a runner trying to steal in a Feb. 27 loss against Oklahoma at Globe Life Field.
2021 Season:
• Started 18 games at catcher in his second season at NSU.
• doubled twice and scored a run in the Demons' Game 2 win against McNeese on May 7.
• went 2-for-4 with his first two career RBIs in a series-finale loss at Central Arkansas on May 1.
• notched the first two-hit game of his career in the series-finale win against Nicholls on April 25.
• singled and scored as part of a two-run rally in a Game 1 win at Houston Baptist on April 17.
• singled and scored in a 4-0 win against Austin Peay on March 6.
• collected his first career hit, going 1-for-4 in Game 2 of the opening-day doubleheader at Southern Miss on Feb. 21.
2020 Season:
• Appeared in three games with two starts at catcher.
• scored a run in each of his starts -- Feb. 22 against North Alabama (game 2) and March 8 against Abilene Christian.
• drew a walk against ACU on March 8 and reached via a hit by pitch against North Alabama.
Prior to NSU:
• Lettered two seasons at LSU-Eunice, helping lead the Bengals to the 2018 national title.
• named a 2019 ABCA/Rawlings Gold Glove winner in his sophomore season.
• batted .253 with 14 extra-base hits, including three home runs, and 30 RBIs as a sophomore.
• threw out 15 of 24 attempted base stealers, a caught stealing percentage of 62.5.
• graduated with a 3.2 grade point average.
High School:
• Played four seasons for Mike Thibodeaux’s Rebels, helping lead Teurlings to a state championship as a senior and a state runner-up finish as a junior.
• earned first-team all-state honors in both his junior and senior seasons.
• batted .340 as a senior.
Personal:
• Born July 23, 1997.
• son of Jenise and Kyle Kirkpatrick.
• has two sisters, Ashli and Alyssa.
• majoring in psychology and holds a 3.32 grade point average.
• plans to apply for physical therapy school after graduation.
• life’s ambition is to become a physical therapist and start a family.
