Northwestern State University of Louisana

2011 Season:
• Played summer ball in the Cape Cod League, one of the most prestigious summer leagues in the country
• Began the season in the starting rotation but was moved to the bullpen and eventually in the closing role where he became one of the best in the region
• Most notable game was an upset win at LSU when he came out of the bullpen in the fifth inning and struck out 10 of 13 batters with no hits and one walk against the 21^st ranked team in the nation
• Led the Demons in saves with five and ranked fourth in strikeouts with 45 in 40 innings pitched
• Appeared in 24 games with 22 games of those in relief
• In the five games he recorded a save, he allowed two hits, no runs, two walks, and had 15 strikeouts in 6.1 innings pitched
• Recorded seven strikeouts in 3.1 innings while giving up three hits and no runs against Louisiana Tech
• His strikeout/walk ratio for the season was 45/18
• In his last 11 games he pitched 17.2 innings, gave up 5 earned runs, six walks, and struck out 25 batters
 
2010 Season 
• appeared in 14 games with three starts and went 0-0 with a 3.28 ERA
• threw 24.2 innings with 14 strikeouts and seven walks
• part of an 11-0 shutout over Murray State when he threw one inning
• got his three starts in the last three appearances of the season with his best outing a 5.1 inning affair at Mississippi State where he held the Bulldogs to just one run on six hits while striking out three
• appeared in seven conference games with one start and posted a 3.24 ERA in 8.1 innings pitched
