2011 Southland Conference All-Academic

2011 Season:
• first on the team in at-bats (225), runs scored (38), and stolen bases (7)
• second in hits (66) and sixth in batting average (.293)
• longest hit streak was 13 game that includes 13 runs, five RBI, and a .403 batting average (25-for-62)
• opened the season with a win against BYU with four hits in five tries and scored three runs and knocked in one
• helped beat New Orleans 10-1 with getting four hits in as many tries scoring  three runs with a double and RBI
• single game high of two RBI against Stephen F. Austin in the NSU Demon Invitational going 2-for-5 scoring one run
• had 20 multi-hit games including a five game stretch achieving at least two hits in a game
• started all 54 games in centerfield for the Demons
 
Prior to NSU:  
• hit .340 with three home runs, 35 RBIs, 10 doubles, three triples and 45 runs scored in his final season at Chabot College
• earned Gold Glove award and first team all-conference honors
• graduated with a 3.7 gpa
 
Helenihi in High School:  
• hit .495 as a senior at Granada High School in Livermore, California
• earned first team all-conference honors
• lettered three years in baseball
• Principal's Honor Roll with a 3.7 gpa
 
Helenihi Personal:  
• born Aug. 16, 1990
• son of Bill and Rhonda Helenihi
• one brother, Derek, played third base for LSU in 2008 and 2009 and was an undrafted free agent signee of the Chicago Cubs
• majoring in biology and has a 3.7 gpa
