THIBODAUX – Despite undesirable results against New Orleans, the Northwestern State tennis team is ready to capture its third conference win. 

Sofi Garcia continues to compile wins for the Lady Demons (9-7, 2-3), having won her last seven singles match ups, bumping her overall record up to 11-4 on the season and 5-0 in conference play. 

NSU has dominated the series against Nicholls of late, having won the last nine consecutive matches between the two programs. NSU enters the match sporting a 32-9 overall record against the Colonels. 

Nicholls (6-11, 0-6) remains winless in conference play this season after a 5-2 loss against Southeastern. 

The Colonels are led by Constanza Cruz and her 7-3 singles record on the season, with five of those wins coming in the No. 5 slot. 

The Lady Demons return home Saturday for one final regular season match against Texas A&M – Corpus Christi.
