Lady Demons continue their homstand

NATCHITOCHES – After having a week-long break to rest and recover, Northwestern State welcomes Tarleton State to continue its 12-match homestand. 

NSU (3-2) is set to host Tarleton (6-0) for a Saturday match at noon at Jack Fisher Tennis Complex. 

The Lady Demons coming off a 5-2 win against Sam Houston, while Tarleton is coming off a 7-0 road victory against Tyler Junior College. 

At No. 5, Ayu Ishibashi is picking up where she left off in the 2023 season. Ishibashi is 4-1 this season, winning four consecutive matches. 

Sara Erenda is making an impact at the bottom of the rotation as a freshman, having won all three of her matches at the No. 6 singles position. That includes finishing off the sweep of LSU-Alexandria. 

Erenda and fellow freshman Maria Farina have each won three consecutive matches, as she has played all her matches at singles position No. 3. 

Tarleton is led by senior Elsa Boisson, who was on Singles All-WAC First Team last season. She is 4-2 at the No. 2 singles position this season. 

Following the match, NSU is set to host LSU-Shreveport on Sunday at 11 a.m.
