Box Score FORT WORTH, Texas – Northwestern State couldn't force a comeback.
"We are extremely proud of the girls today," head coach
Marcos Morelli said. "Their attitude and support towards each other was outstanding."
TCU quickly took the doubles point with wins on court two and three.
Ayu Isibashi and
Honoka Umeda fell first on court three to Destinee Martins and Isabel Pascual 6-2.
The Horned Frogs posted five straight set wins in singles. TCU's Destinee Martins defeated Matia Farina 6-1 in straight sets.
"We want to make sure we minimize the amount of free points given and continue to compete as hard as today," Morelli said.
Morelli wants the Lady Demons to focus on the positives that came from each court and continue building their strengths ahead of their next match.
NSU is back in action in New Orleans Jan. 27 when the Lady Demons take on Tulane at 12 p.m.
