NACOGDOCHES – Two of the three unbeaten Southland Conference women's tennis teams collide Saturday when defending champion Northwestern State visits Stephen F. Austin for an 11 a.m. match at the Schlief Tennis Complex.

Both the Lady Demons (8-6 overall, 4-0 in the Southland) and the Ladyjacks (9-4, 3-0) bring winning streaks into the match. NSU has won seven straight after Sunday's 5-2 victory over Abilene Christian. SFA topped ACU 4-3 a day later in Nacogdoches for its fifth consecutive win.

The teams met twice last year, with NSU edging SFA 4-3 in Natchitoches in the regular season, then prevailing 4-1 in the Southland Conference Tournament at Corpus Christi.

Saturday's showdown will be the only weekend action for NSU, which plays at UNO and Southeastern Louisiana next weekend. The Lady Demons' last two home matches are April 11-12 against Nicholls and McNeese State. Nicholls is the other unbeaten Southland team with a 5-0 league mark.
