NATCHITOCHES – Two talented but so-far winless in the early season women's tennis teams, Northwestern State and Louisiana Tech, collide Friday at 1 with the Lady Demons hoping for the homecourt edge to prevail at the Jack Fisher Tennis Complex.
NSU is 0-2 after falling to nationally-ranked LSU and 4-3 in their home debut Tuesday to UL Monroe. Louisiana Tech is 0-5, including three defeats at the hands of ranked opponents.
"Louisiana Tech is a well-coached team. We have no easy matches in our schedule. It`s going to be a tough one tomorrow," said Lady Demon first-year head coach
Olga Bazhanova.
The match wraps up a two-game homestand. NSU is on the road for the next four competitions, all in Texas, before returning home Feb. 28 against Southern Mississippi.
