NATCHITOCHES – Rolling on a three-match win-streak, the Northwestern State tennis team hosts Texas State and Grambling in a pair of duals on Sunday at 10:00 and two o'clock, respectively, at the Jack Fisher Tennis Complex.
The Lady Demons took wins from Louisiana-Lafayette, Texas-San Antonio and Prairie View A&M last weekend to bring their overall season record to 5-3. The Bobcats (4-2) have won their last four contests, the most recent against Incarnate Word and Texas-Pan American, while the Tigers sit at 0-3 on the season.
NSU holds a 16-6 advantage over Texas State, last meeting in 2013 when the Lady Demons came away with the 4-3 win in San Marcos, Texas. Against Grambling, NSU has put up a perfect 9-0 record, last defeating the Tigers in 2011 in a 5-0 shutout.
The Lady Demons hit the road on Tuesday for their first Southland Conference match, beginning at noon at Abilene Christian, followed by a trip to Oral Roberts on Saturday and Central Arkansas and Arkansas Tech on Sunday.
