BATON ROUGE – The No. 72 Northwestern State tennis team dropped its second match of the weekend, 5-0, to No. 58 LSU Sunday afternoon at W. T. "Dub" Robinson Stadium.

"We came out and competed today, but it just wasn't enough," said head coach Patric Dubois. "We're taking this weekend in stride and getting back to work so we can be ready to host a couple teams next weekend at home."

Similar to Saturday's match, three spots in the lineup went unfinished as the Tigers (6-2) ran away with a shutout over the Lady Demons (2-3).

Polina Konop and Tatiana Larina combined at No. 1 doubles, dropping an 8-2 decision, followed by Aliona Ladutska and Amy Williams falling 8-4 at No. 3 doubles. Natalya Krutova and Piatakova went unfinished at second doubles.

Larina also fell at No. 1 singles 6-1, 6-0 to Joana Vale Costa while Konop's match at second singles went unfinished, leaving the match at 7-5, 4-0.

Ladutska and Daniela Simonova fell to Abigail Owens and Skylar Holloway, 6-0, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-2, respectively.

Piatakova dropped to Gabrielle Otero at third singles 6-2, 6-1, while Krutova went unfinished again at No. 4 singles.
