Tennis travels to ULL on Sunday

LAFAYETTE – With just six days remaining before Southland Conference play begins, the Northwestern State women's tennis team heads to Louisiana-Lafayette for a Sunday match at the Cajun Courts at 11 o'clock.
 
The Lady Demons enter the match at 4-3 after defeating Arkansas State 5-2 on Saturday afternoon.
 
The Ragin' Cajuns stand at 7-4, most recently overpowering McNeese State 4-2 on Friday.
 
Polina Konop and Natalya Krutova lead NSU with each standing at 5-2 in singles competition.
 
Konop and Krutova have teamed up to go 4-3 in doubles action at the No. 2 spot.
 
Sophomore Tatiana Larina and senior Andrea Nedorostova lead the Lady Demons in doubles play with a 6-1 record at the No. 1 position.
 
Larina has compiled a 4-3 singles record at the first and second positions while Nedorostova stands at 5-2 in the fourth spot.
 
The Lady Demons return home next Saturday to take on Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in their first conference match of the season. The match is set to begin at 11 a.m. at the Jack Fisher Tennis Complex.
