Tulsa, Okla. – With its first Southland Conference win under its belt, the Northwestern State women's tennis team is aiming for a streak as the Lady Demons travel to Oral Roberts for a 10 o'clock Sunday match at the Case Tennis Complex.
NSU enters the match at 6-5 overall and 1-1 in Southland play after blanking Central Arkansas 7-0 on Saturday.
The Golden Eagles stand at 1-7, 0-3, most recently falling to Stephen F. Austin 5-2 on Saturday afternoon.
Tatiana Larina and
Andrea Nedorostova lead the Lady Demons in doubles action with a 9-2 record at the No. 1 position.
Nedorostova is currently tied for fourth in NSU's career doubles wins ledger with a record of 63-9. The senior is just five wins away from becoming the winningest doubles player in Lady Demon history.
Polina Konop and
Natalya Krutova each have team-best singles records of 9-2 at the No. 1-2 and No. 3 positions.
Konop and Krutova have also done well in doubles competition, registering a 7-4 record in the No. 2 spot.
The Lady Demons return home next weekend to face Sam Houston State on Friday. The match is set to begin at 2 p.m. at the Jack Fisher Tennis Complex.
