One of the only two junior college players on the squad ... saw some action last year for the Lady Demons, appearing in 17 games and averaging 0.9 points and 0.8 rebounds per outing ... had a high game of seven points in a win over East Central Oklahoma in the AIAW Region Six Tournament .. came to NSU after a year at Southwest Mississippi Junior College, where she was a starter on the team that finished fifth in the nation in the junior college ranks in 1976 ... prior to that, she was a standout at Ponchatoula, where she played on three state semifinalist teams ... made all-district twice and was chosen the district's Most Valuable Player after her senior season ... averaged 15 points and 12 rebounds during her high school career ... also was a standout in softball, volleyball and track in Ponchatoula.
