Davis is a strong pass rusher who could develop into more than simply a situational defender if he progresses this season.
2008 Season: Played in three games and collected two tackles… had one sack and one tackle for a loss, both coming against Stephen F. Austin in the season finale… saw action against Cal Poly and Sam Houston State.
Before NSU: 39 tackles, 8 for loss, including 5 sacks, as a sophomore .... Added 4 QB hurries and 2 fumble recoveries ... in his freshman season, he played on a team that went to the Mississippi junior college championship game.
Davis in High School: An all-area selection and a four-year letterman at Laurel HS.
Davis' Personal: Born July 10, 1987… son of William L. Davis, Sr. and Pamela Breland… father is an oil field pipe inspector… two brothers, Dewon Breland and William A. Davis… one sister, Taakamisha Davis… his uncle, Marvin Arrington, is a member of the SWAC Hall of Fame and played in the NFL… majoring in general studies and is scheduled to graduate in May.
