Arceneaux, a second-generation Demon, is an athletic defender who made the move up from safety to linebacker. He will also fit in some nickel and dime packages due to his agility and intelligence.

2008-09 Honors:  LSWA Defensive Player of the Week against Grambling... NSU athletic honor roll, fall (3.5-3.99)... SLC Commissioner’s Fall Academic Honor Roll.

2008:  Saw action in all 12 games and recorded 46 tackles with 24 solos… finished sixth on the team in total hits… had one fumble recovery which he returned 32 yards… broke up four passes and had three quarterback hurries… recorded a career-best 13 tackles against Grambling where he also had a half tackle for a loss.

Before NSU:  Played one season at Ole Miss.

Arceneaux in High School:  Received all-district every year and Academic All-State his senior year for John Curtis... was a three year state champion and competed for the state title all four years of high school...finished career with 300 tackles and 12 interceptions.

Arceneaux's Personal:  Born Dec. 22, 1987… son of Bryan and Sammy Arceneaux… father was a four year letterman (1981-84)  and all-conference player at Northwestern State, mother played softball, volleyball, and cheered at McNeese State...has one brother Jean Pierre… majoring in accounting and business… full name is Colby David Arceneaux.
